New Zealand Pride Window Display

The design choices in this window display were very purposeful. When choosing the branding font, I decided on Gilbert. I wanted to pay homage to Gilbert Baker, the designer who created the original Pride Flag in 1978.

As a team, we also wanted to have an activity people could participate in. The idea for an envelope wall was created. A wall where people can write encouraging, kind words of love to each other and take one home as well.

Sketches and ideation

Initial designs and layout of the illustrations.

Drawing on my tablet, I was able to use my sketch as a reference for the first draft. After completing the tablet drawing, I transferred it into Photoshop to slightly adjust colours and placements.

I also cut up smaller sections of the arch to create more variety and fill up the white space for printing.
